Insisting that the world keep turning our way

When I was a kid, we worked on the house as a family almost every weekend.  It seemed like we were always tearing down plaster and lath, insulating and putting up drywall, or taping and painting.

While we we working on the house, we always listened to the oldies radio station, the Clancy Brothers, Bob Dylan, or Willie Nelson.  I grew up to love Willie Nelson, but not the Willie I grew up with.  I love the country Willie Nelson (Shotgun Willie), the gospel Willie Nelson (Troublemaker), and even the reggae Willie Nelson (Countryman).  My dad loved the pop Willie Nelson.

Last week my dad asked me to make him a Willie Nelson CD.  Although I have over a dozen Willie Nelson CDs, I had to go on iTunes to download some of the pop songs.  When I typed "On the Road Again" into iTunes, the first song that came up was "On the Road Again" by Hannah Montana.  It was the most depressing moment of my life.
