Today I attended a networking event where I reaffirmed the notion that in any given social situation, the women wearing the most makeup are most likely to feel comfortable dominating the conversation in a really annoying way.

As I sat there with so many other women desperately attempting to get above the middle level jobs that require them to wear painful high heels, I thought about my own painfully low positions at the places I work. The whole time, all I thought was, "Is life really going to suck this much?"
