When you open up your heart and the truth comes out

Once a week I saute a steak, slice it thinly and serve it over a salad.  It's a fast, easy dinner and sometimes we try to make different salad dressings.

Last night I accidentally bought "thin sliced" steaks.  When I got them out of the package, I knew they were too thin to saute or grill, so I immediately thought, "Oh, I'll just chicken-fry them."  I haven't made fried chicken or anything chicken-fried in years, but I managed to get the seasonings just about right.

When the wife tried it, she said, "Do you remember the first time we went on vacation together and I broke out that special move?  You were amazed but you felt like I was holding out on you.  That's kind of how I feel about the chicken-frying."

It's not really amazing that I have to go on a diet.  When your first instinct is to chicken-fry anything, you've got problems.
