The wife and I are considering a trip to France in the spring. I've never been to France so we started asking friends and family for recommendations concerning things to do and places to eat.
My uncle said, "As soon as you land, take a train to Belgium and get a waffle. It's the best thing you'll eat on the whole trip."
My mother, who visited Paris over thirty years ago, said, "The food stinks and everyone is mean. If you order a cup of coffee they only give you one cup! They don't give refills like over here."
My dad, a huge WW2 buff, said, "You really should go to Omaha Beach in Normandy, it's amazing."
I'm open to other suggestions.
