Why don't you release me

Last night I did something I had never done before: I waited on line at midnight for the release of a video game.  It was an interesting experience.

At one point, someone showed up to wait on line and said, "Is this the line for Hello Kitty Island Adventure?" and we all laughed.

Ten minutes later, someone showed up and said, "Is this the line for Castlevania 64?" and we all laughed.

The guy in front of me was buying the game for his kids.  He said that he never had anything growing up and he just wanted his kids to be the cool ones at school tomorrow.  I said, "Didn't you hate those kids at school?"  He replied, "Yeah, but I still wanted their stuff."

The guy behind me was an interesting character.  "I've been in rehab for months," he said.  "I have been looking forward to this the entire time."  I wanted to suggest that a game involving swindling drug dealers wasn't the best choice, but I just let it go.

Someone showed up and tried to cut the line.  Someone else in line said, "I'm going to kill him later online."

When I got home, the wife asked how it went.  I said, "You should have come, you would have been the only woman."
