Maybe I do this too often

My AP class has been working pretty hard and they're two weeks from being done with all the material they need to cover. So today I let them have a free day.

"Free day!" I announced, and watched in awe as immediately one student went to the board to write a fake topic of study, and all the other students got out their notes and a pencil to hold in hand. I taught them to do this so that when I tell them stories, to the casual passer-by it looks like I'm teaching something very cerebral (I wave my hands around a lot when I teach).

It made a tear came to my eye. My little monkeys!
