We have this really weird student. Like, when you say, "Don't forget to put your name on your paper" he'll raise his hand and say, "Is it okay if I put my name here?" and then point at the most random spot in the upper margin of his paper. It is SO WEIRD.
The issue was discussed and yesterday he signed a behavior contract that says, "I will not ask questions in class that would strike the average person as being unnecessary or strange."
I like this contract for two reasons:
1. It implies that he is aware of his weirdness, and while he is able to not be weird, he prefers to be a weirdo.
2. It means I work at a really cool school.
