You've just got to see me through another day

Last night I was playing a video game while the wife was going through the mail.

"Who do you know in Memphis that sent you a Christmas card?" she asked.

"I don't know. Open it up."

I heard the envelope opening and then room went quiet other than the
sound of zombies dying in the video game.

I looked up and saw my wife crying while reading the card. It was a
card from St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital thanking us for our
donations. It had a picture of a cute little bald girl and it was
signed in pen by her mother thanking us for making her daughter's year
slightly more bearable. It was nice, but I've never seen anyone cry
over mail before.

I decreed, "From now on, I'm in charge of mail."
