I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of

I have an 8th grade student who is a flaming liberal who likes to bother me. The problem is that he is so cute that every time he opens his mouth I have to smother the urge to (at the same time) pop him in the face and pick him up and twirl him around in circles. He is so smart.

But dumb enough to argue with me, because I will stoop to 8th grade argument tactics, like when he told me there are now more Democrats in the States than Republicans. I told him not to worry because I am going to have 12 kids and they're all going to be on my side.

"Oh yeah?" he countered, "well my sister is just like me and we're both going to have 12 kids and then what?!"

"Oh yeah?" I replied, "well, I've got Tom over there on my side. Just think how many kids he's going to have. He's Mormon!"
